About

922472b8da40d6799af849f5c5b3d2f9Historic Travellers Rest Plantation and Museum was established in 1799 and is the oldest house museum open to the public in Nashville, Tennessee. With our beautiful, historic grounds and rich history, we are the ideal location for several different, special events.

Travellers Rest Plantation & Museum is located 6 miles south of downtown Nashville. Guests enjoy the convenience of being close downtown while still feeling like they are tucked away in an intimate setting. We offer indoor and outdoor rental facilities including our modern-day crib barn with large, wooden beams, high ceilings and Tennessee limestone fireplace. You can also host your special event in our English-style formal garden that is original to the home, on the Southern wrap-around porch or on the grassy lawn under the ancient magnolia trees.

With Travellers Rest’s events blog, we will keep you posted on upcoming events, tips and tricks for making your event grand and sharing past, special occasions we have hosted and been a part of!
